Komechu is a factory specializing in small circular vintage tubular knitting machines. All fabrics knitted on these machines emerge in tubular form for a seamless body. Knitting on these vintage tubular machines is particularly suitable when trying to achieve and express the true hand and quality of the raw materials being used.
Although productivity on these machines is very small (knitting an average of 1 meter per hour), the unhurried knitting process makes for a distinct plushness and lasting wear.
All our MALU tubular fabrics are knitted at Komechu factory in Wakayama.
