ATMOS
The ATMOS+TAKAHIROUENO line by AGIRLS, is a special collection made for「atmos」, a prominent Japanese streetwear and sneaker boutique based in Tokyo.
The collection is designed by Agirls’ Takahiro Ueno, a graduate of University of Applied Arts Vienna and former patternmaker at Junya Watanabe COMMES des GARCONS.
The concept of bringing the character of the fabric to the forefront and applying a new value is at the core of this collection. All materials were studied carefully and selected for a one of a kind appeal. Close attention to detail and cut work was pursued for this modern collection.
MATERIAL 01
Dry cotton has been spun to give a soft and airy hold with smooth but vintage like rugged texture. Sport and streetwear is the basis of this design, and there is an attention to curve lines and cutting details in the patterns that brings to existence a new shape and silhouette.
MATERIAL 02
Terry knitted on a vintage loopwheel machine gives this sweat material a distinct downy texture. The sleeve and hem ribs were knitted separately on sweater machines and linked to the body using actual sweater linking techniques.
